About Ohana Imaging Solutions
Ohana Imaging Solutions is an independent, locally owned outpatient cardiovascular ultrasound practice in downtown Honolulu. We focus on high-quality imaging, timely patient access, close collaboration with physicians, and personalized care. As we prepare to expand into vascular ultrasound, we're building a team of experienced vascular sonographers who share our commitment to doing things right. Every patient is ʻohana.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform outpatient vascular ultrasound examinations, including carotid duplex, upper and lower extremity venous duplex, upper and lower extremity arterial duplex, ankle-brachial index (ABI) and segmental pressures/PVR, and abdominal and renal vascular studies
- Acquire high-quality grayscale, color Doppler, and spectral Doppler images following established protocols
- Take accurate velocity measurements and calculations
- Identify critical or abnormal findings, such as acute DVT, and follow escalation protocols
- Maintain accurate exam documentation, preliminary findings, and imaging records
- Work closely with interpreting physicians, referring providers, and clinical staff
- Provide patient-centered, culturally sensitive care while maintaining confidentiality and safety
- Help develop vascular protocols, quality assurance, and accreditation readiness
Qualifications
Required
- Independent experience performing a broad range of outpatient vascular ultrasound exams
- RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) credential
- Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, hemodynamics, and pathology
- Proficiency in grayscale, color, and spectral Doppler techniques
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work independently in a small outpatient setting
Preferred
- Philips ultrasound experience
- Physiologic testing experience (ABI, segmental pressures, PVR)
- Experience in an accredited vascular lab
- Cardiac ultrasound experience or credential (RDCS or RCS)
Education
- Minimum associate degree or equivalent training
- Bachelor's degree in sonography, cardiovascular technology, or a related field preferred
